“H2O Pro Mister” Water Injection System
Why water injection?
Utilizing the “H2O Pro Mister” water injection system helps control detonation, which in turn will lower cylinder temperatures, and help premature piston and ring failure. This will open up your “tuning window” and in most cases, will allow you to run more timing, and timing makes power.
Plumbing Instructions:
The “H2O Pro Mister” water injection system can be used with three different types of application: single 4500 Dominator carburetors, dual 4500 Dominator carburetors, or “split” design Dominator carburetors. If utilizing single or dual Dominator carburetors, you will bolt the “H2O Pro Mister” water injection plate under the carburetor, in place of a shear plate, and then plumb the lines to the plate. If utilizing the “split” carburetors kit, you must machine the manifold lid for the four distribution blocks, and then plumb the lines to each distribution block. However, we recommend that this kit be installed in house by one of our experienced manifold technicians, to ensure maximum performance and efficiency is achieved.
Installing the In-Car Kit:
The “H2O Pro Mister” water injection system can be “pressurized” either by CO2 or N2O. This means you can “tee” off of your CO2 shifter bottle or your nitrous bottles. If you tee off your air shifter line to the regulator, the pressure must be regulated from 100 to 150 psi. The regulator will only work with less than 300 psi. If you do not have an air shifter regulator, you must add one.
Connect a line from the regulator to the top of the water tank.
Connect a line from the bottom of the water tank, to the firewall into the filter.
Then, connect a line from the “out” of the filter into the solenoid and from the solenoid to the engine.
NOTE: If you compete in NHRA, and utilize the “H2O Pro Mister” water injection, you can only run water. However, if you race anywhere else, you can mix the water with alcohol. The solenoid is alcohol compatible. We recommend no more than a 50/50 mixture, though.
